Based on the Japanese manga of the same name by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara, Fist of the North Star is set in the post-apocalyptic aftermath of World War III, where the last remnants of the human race fight to survive. One of the most powerful men on the planet is named Lord Shin (Costas Mandylor). Shin was a student of a martial art school called the “Southern Cross” who murdered the master of the rival “North Star” school. This act broke an ancient tradition that the masters of the North and South schools must never fight.
Later Shin and his gang sought out the North Star school’s successor. It turned out to be his old friend Kenshiro (Gary Daniels). When he caught up with him, Kenshiro was with his fiancee Julia (Isako Washio), Shin defeated Kenshiro and left him for dead after puncturing Kenshiro’s chest and stomach with his fingers. They then kidnapped Julia, with Shin planning to make her the “queen” of his new world order. The symbol of the Southern Cross soon becomes a symbol of a cruelty and evil that few oppose.
Shin made one mistake though, Kenshiro isn’t dead…
