Following on from Episode 3, Kamala (Iman Vellani) and her mother Muneeba (Zenobia Shroff) are on their way to Karachi, India to reunite with Sana (Samina Ahmad). During their time together, Sana informs Kamala that the bangle is trying to convey a message through the vision of the train. Determined to investigate, Kamala takes herself to the train station where she gets into a scuffle with Kareem (Aramis Knight) a young vigilante who believes Kamala is one of the Clandestines. Kareem takes Kamala to the Red Dagger’s hideout where she meets their leader Waleed (Farhan Akhtar) who explains just what the Clandestines are trying to break the Veil of Noor, which separates the Djinns‘ dimension from the human world, in order to expand and take over.
Meanwhile, the Clandestines escape the DODC’s Supermax prison, but as they leave Najma (Nimra Bucha) ditches Kamran (Rish Shah) telling him he made his choice when he helped Kamala.
Soon the Clandestines are battling the Red Daggers and during the battle during which Najma strikes Kamala’s bangle which sends Kamala into the past specially the train vision she had. It looks like it will be Kamala saving her own Grandmother next week!
Verdict: 7/10. A more action-packed episode this week with lots of exposition dropped. Iman Vellani is caring this show on her shoulders in an amazing way. I can’t wait to see how she interacts with the rest of the MCU! More focus on storyline and less on scenery would be nice.
