Review- Zapped Season 3 Ep.2: Chef

Zapped returns for its second episode of Season 3 where following his escape from the circus Brian (James Buckley) is spending his time persuading Herman (Louis Emerick) to give him a job as the pub chef, but Herman is more concerned with helping out his old friend Sved – a slightly cracked former warrior. Herman ends up in situation where he has promised the job to both Brian and Sved – they both then have to work together.

Meanwhile Barbara (Sharon Rooney) is running the annual Munty Pet Show, while Howell (Paul Kaye) is trying to rig the outcome. Barbara’s naivety at how nice everyone is towards her and her happiness at all the presents she is getting plays well into her personal shock that these might be bribes!

Not to be forgotten Steg’s (Kenneth Collard) quest for love continues and he ends up on a hot date with an old work colleague Sally from his time in the sewers. He even gets a second date!

Verdict: 8/10 This episode really expands upon the word of Munty and introduces a number of characters that could be drawn upon in the future. The fact that Season 3 is expanding to six episodes shows the potential Zapped has and how those behind it are expanding it at a pace that allows the show to breath and develop naturally.
