Following directly on from Episode 3, Masters of the Universe: Revelation Ep. 4: Land of the Dead sees our heroes entering Subternia – the Land of the Dead! Once inside an illusion strikes and separates the group. Teela (Sarah Michelle Gellar) finds herself confronted by Scare Glow (Tony Todd) who announces himself as the new Lord of the Dead.
Scare Glow wants Teela’s fear to feast upon in exchange for his half of the Sword of Power whilst Evil-Lyn (Lena Headey) and Orko (Griffin Newman) discover that the Font of Mystical Energy, the lifeforce of Orko’s species, has been dried up, making Orko the last Trollan left. The share a moment with Orko revealing some of his most innermost secrets to Lyn.
Later, Teela battles dark nightmare versions of He-Man and herself and conquers her fears and obtains the sword. Then Evil-Lyn uses the half of the Sword of Power to open a gate to Preternia.
Scare Glow gives chase, so Orko remains behind and sacrifices himself to hold Scare Glow off, while the rest of the heroes escape to Preternia, where they are greeted by a shocked Prince Adam (Chris Wood).
Verdict: 7/10. A solid story that provided a lot of insight into Orko and his life pre-Eternia. Hopefully we will see some development from his believed demise and where it happened.
