Directed by David DeCoteau, Puppet Master: Axis of Evil is the ninth official entry into the Puppet Master franchise. Like many previous Puppet Master films it begins at the Bodega Bay Inn, this time in the year 1939. This time around we meet Danny Coogan (Levi Fiehler) who is making wooden chairs for a wedding reception for his Uncle Len (Jerry Hoffman), who owns the Inn. Danny tells his uncle that if it was not for his limp, he would be able to go to war, along with his brother Don, and tells his Uncle that he’s going to help André Toulon (played by William Hickey via archive footage).
As Danny heads to Toulon’s room, he hears a gunshot and goes to see what happened (for these events see Puppet Master). Two men dressed in black storm out of the room pushing Danny aside as they leave. Danny manages to catch a glimpse of their faces. Upon entering the room Danny finds Toulon dead with a gun in his hand. Danny, to whom Toulon showed his puppets, grabs them out of a wall panel and finds that all the puppets are still there, along with unanimated Six Shooter and another puppet, named Ninja. They all want revenge!
