California Games (1987)

Epyx Sports released California Games in 1987 and introduced the world to a mulitiple sports event that included skateboarding, freestyle footbag, surfing, roller skating, flying disc and BMX. The game sold 300,000 copies in its first nine months.

Originally the game was released on Apple II and Commodore 64, and because of its success soon made its way onto other platforms including Amiga, Apple IIGS, Atari 2600, Atari ST, Atari Lynx, DOS, Sega Mega Drive, Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum, Nintendo Entertainment System, MSX and Sega Master System.
