Benji, Zax and the Alien Prince

BenjiZaxAlienPrince_picbzap2Benji, Zax & the Alien Prince was a live action Hanna-Barbera and Mulberry Square children’s science fiction television series created by Joe Camp (the creator of the Benji film franchise). The series originally aired Saturday mornings on CBS between 17th September 1983 – 17th December 1983. It consisted of 13 episodes.

The series begins on the far distant red planet of Antars, where a tyrant Zanu has killed their king and imprisoned the queen. The crown prince, their son, named Yubi (Christopher Burton) has escaped to Earth in a company of the droid Zax (voiced by Ric Spiegel), where they have become friends with a stray dog named Benji. Each episode our trio aim to escape Zanu’s bounty hunters whilst helping people they come across along the way.
