After crashing during an experimental aircraft test, astronaut Steve Austin is barely alive and clinging to life. The government decide to use funding for a secret bionics project to create the next generation of covert operative – an agent with bionic limbs that give him superhuman strength and enable him to run speeds beyond 60 miles per hour, along with a bionic eye that allows him to see details over a mile away. Col Austin awakens after his almost fatal crash to find that he now processes integrated bionic technology. For his second chance at life he is coerced into taking on specialized missions for the OSO (Office of Strategic Operations).
Farrah Fawcett — was married to Lee Majors during his time on The Six Million Dollar Man and featured as a guest star in four episodes of the series – one in each of the show’s first four seasons playing three different characters.

The movie sees Bullock becoming bionic and assisting the Bionic Woman and Six Million Dollar Man to catch a bionic spy. Bullocks character was written along with others in the first two movies to possibly develop for a spin-off series but nothing developed. Bryan Cranston guest starred in the first of the television movies – The Return Of The Six Million Dollar Man And The Bionic Woman which he talks about in the extras.
Many famous faces have been guests on the show including Andre the Giant and Ted Cassidy (Lurch) who both played Bigfoot, Kim Basinger, Sonny Bono, George Takei, Erik Estrada, William Shatner, Stefanie Mills and Jenny Agutter to name a few.
Mark Wahlberg is a big fan of The Six Million Dollar Man and has been trying to get The Six Billion Dollar Man made for “quite some time,” calling it a “great balance of all this kind of wish fulfillment and these abilities to do amazing things,” yet still being “very grounded and real.”
