Beverly Hills Bodysnatchers (1989)

Directed by Jonathan Mostow (who would go on to direct Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines), Beverly Hills Bodysnatchers features A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 and 4 alumni Rodney Eastman and Brooke Bundy, alongside the legendary Frank Gorshin, Vic Tayback, Charles C. Stevenson Jr, Art Metrano, Seth Jaffe, Keone Young, and Warren Selko.

The film weaves a complicated web of intrigue where a doctor and a mortician team up to conduct re-animation experiments on corpses but to do those experiments they must borrow a large amount of money from the Mafia so that they can get the equipment they need!

Soon they get to a point where they cannot pay back the money which results in the mafia boss sending in his nephews to work at the funeral home to keep a watch on the debtors. The nephews end up teaming up with the debtors and help search for new bodies, and soon are helping keep tabs on the unsavory characters they helped reanimate including the Mafia Don!
