Pippa Steel was born on April 15, 1948 in Flensburg, Germany. She made her first TV appearence playing Daphne in the first episode of Katy. She went on to appear in The Jokers, Stranger in the House, The £1,000,000 Bank Note, Department S, and UFO.
In 1970 she was discovered by Hammer via her agent and cast in two of the Karnstein trilogy, The Vampire Lovers and Lust for a Vampire. In The Vampire Lovers she played Laura, the General’s (Peter Cushing) niece, who is befriended by Marcilla (Ingrid Pitt). Laura subsequently suffers nightmares that she is being attacked, and dies of a gradual sickness; whereupon Marcilla departs. In Lust for a Vampire Pippa plays Susan Pelley the doomed room mate of Mircalla Herritzen (Yutte Stensgaard).
After leaving the acting profession, Pippa ran a catering business and a hotel, in conjunction with her husband. Sady Pippa died of cancer aged just 44 years old on 29th May 1992 in London, England.
