Virginia Hey (born 19 June 1952) is an Australian actress, known for her role as Pa’u Zotoh Zhaan on the science fiction TV series Farscape and as the Warrior Woman in Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, Pushkin’s girlfriend in the Bond film The Living Daylights, and various other roles in TV drama series, such as lawyer Jennifer St James in E Street.
Hey began her career as a fashion model after being discovered at a bus stop. Hey appeared on several magazine covers and started her acting career in fifty-seven television ads, television drama and films in Australia and the UK.
She is well known for the role of the blue priestess Zotoh Zhaan in Farscape, for which she was nominated for best supporting actress by the Saturn Awards She left the show early in the third season because she wanted to grow her hair and eyebrows (she had to shave both for the show) and also for health reasons: the blue makeup worn over her head and chest to achieve Zhaan’s appearance caused her kidneys to bleed, subsequently causing a decline in her health. Since leaving Farscape, Hey has started her own company, White Flower Lei, which manufactures perfumes and soaps.
Farscape has to be one of the finest sci~fi TV shows ever produced.
VH was wonderful in it & fans were saddened when she left the show during its run.
