Cutie Honey: The Live

Created by Go Nagai, Cutie Honey: The Live debuted in October 2007 and ran for 26 episodes. It starred Mikie Hara as Honey Kisaragi, an android girl who can transform Cutie Honey by tapping on a heart necklace and saying the words “Honey Flash!”

The necklace activates the Airborne Element Fixing Device installed in her body, also known as the “Honey System”. The Honey System allows the creation of objects out of thin air, allowing Honey to transform her outfit into practically any disguise. The Honey System can also reduce objects to thin air just as easily, which Honey uses as a finishing move to destroy anything she is in contact with.

As well as the Honey System, Cutie Honey possesses super-intelligence and strength, and a healing factor. Her personal emblem is a Red heart and in battle she can summon a rapier called the “Silver Fleuret.”

On a few occasions, the energy of her Honey System goes out of control and begins to destroy everything that she touches. When this happens, Honey sleeps for three days and then goes into a berserk mode. To prevent this, Seiji has a device that will drain away the excess energy and return her to normal.

In her adventures, Cutie Honey meets Miki (Ayame Misaki), a cold young girl who is the polar opposite of Honey, being introverted and anti-social. Like Honey, she has the Honey System installed in her body, changing her into a blue armored form called Sister Miki. In this form she cannot control her aggression, causing her to develop a fear of herself. She stays away from other people because she is afraid of hurting them against her will. Despite her cold demeanor, she cares about Honey.

Cutie Honey also meets Yuki (Makoto Takeda) the adopted daughter of the prestigious Kenmochi family, she also possesses the power of the Honey System, changing into a white armored form called Sister Yuki. In this form she becomes a cold, merciless warrior using graceful and powerful karate.

Once she realises that all three can transform, Cutie Honey tries to unite them against Panther Claw. an underworld organisation dedicated to profit at any cost, saying at one point that making money is “the same as breathing” to them.
