Created by Eileen Gallagher and directed by Jane Prowse, The Fugitives was a seven part show from 2005 that follows fourteen-year-old Jay Keaton (Alex Roe). A teenager with a high IQ who is taking his physics A-Level early. Jay’s life is placed in danger after he overhears something shocking at the company his father Marshall (Alexander Hanson) used to work at – EmbroGen.
Jay’s Uncle Harry (Jonathan Wrather) confirms what Jay heard revealing a shocking family secret involving the illegal cloning of human children. This discovery puts Jay and his sister Fleecey (Hannah van der Westhuysen) in danger from the EmbroGen head, Salko (Jack Ellis), that soon forces him to go on the run with Fleecey. Living on his wits and fending for himself. Jay’s friend Melanie Banks (Ciara O’Connor) soon joins them on the run and their quest to expose EmbroGen.
