Based on Marilyn Sadler and Roger Bollen’s book of the same name, Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century was directed by Kenneth Johnson and set in the year 2049. It followed a 13 year old girl named Zenon Kar (Kirsten Storms) who lives with her family on a space station the orbits the planet Earth. Following some hijinks Zenon is sent by the station commander Edward Plank (Stuart Pankin) to live with her Aunt Judy Cling (Holly Fulger) on Earth as punishment for her behaviour.
Once on Earth Zenon is a fish out of water and is unsure of herself and finds it hard fitting in with other kids her own age. Whilst at the same tome she looks down slightly on them for being out of touch. Her only friend Nebula Wade (Raven-Symoné) is back on the space station and they can only communicate via video phone tablet.
Soon Zenon meets two boys, Andrew (Brenden Richard Jefferson) and Greg (Gregory Smith). Can they all just learn to get along and be accepting of each other’s ways?
