In The Cold of the Night is an ultra-stylized, DePalma-esque, neo-noir erotic thriller from cult filmmaker Nico Mastorakis (Island of Death, Blind Date), and stars Jeff Lester (Star Trek IV), Adrianne Sachs (Robocop), Brian Thompson (Cobra), Marc Singer (V, Beastmaster), David Soul (Starsky & Hutch), and Shannon Tweed (Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death), along with a guest appearance from Tippi Hedren (The Birds) and striking cinematography by Andreas Bellis (Thriller – A Cruel Picture). Vinegar Syndrome brings this Skinemax gem to Blu-ray, newly restored in 4k from its original camera negative and in its fully uncut NC-17 rated version.
High profile fashion photographer Scott Bruin has been suffering from a series of increasingly disturbing and violent dreams in which he savagely attacks and murders a young woman. Fearing for his sanity, Scott begins to investigate these strange visions but slowly starts to believe that these all-too-real seeming nightmares might not be dreams after all and that the woman in them is in imminent danger. As his investigation progresses, Scott unwittingly finds himself in the centre of a sinister conspiracy much stranger than his wildest nightmares.
