Jacqueline Pearce passes away aged 74 years old

It is Cult Faction’s sad duty to report that actress Jacqueline Pearce has passed away at the age of 74 years old after recently being diagnosed with lung cancer. The sad news was broken by her friend John Ainsworth:

She was outrageous, she was very honest and very straightforward, which didn’t always go down very well, but you knew where you were with her. She liked a glass of champagne and liked everyone to have a good time with her, and of course she was a brilliant actress and everyone who worked with her remembered her very fondly.

He added Pearce had been diagnosed “a couple of weeks ago” and chose to be cared for at home after leaving hospital.

Pearce was well known for her role as Servalan in Blake’s 7 as well as the duel role of Miss Vole / Miss Raven in Moondial. She also appeared in The Avengers, Danger Man, Dark Season, Doctor Who, The Reptile, Man in a Suitcase, and The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles amongst others.
