The Baker Street Boys

It may have only lasted for eight episodes back in 1983, but The Baker Street Boys was responsible for introducing the world of Sherlock Holmes to a new generation. The British television series followed the adventures of a gang of street urchins living in Victorian London who assist the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes (Roger Ostime) and Dr. Watson (Hubert Rees) in solving crimes as well as investigate a number of cases on their own.

The eight episodes were four adventures in two parts:

  • The Adventure of the Disappearing Dispatch Case
  • The Ghost of Julian Midwinter
  • The Adventure of the Winged Scarab
  • The Case of the Captive Clairvoyant

The Baker Street Boys are led by Wiggins (Jay Simpson), and are made up of Shiner (Adam Woodyatt), Sparrow (David Garlick), and Beaver (Damion Napier). They are often assisted by Queenie (Debbie Norris) and Rosie (Suzi Ross).
