Cult Movie Essentials: The Kovak Box (2006)

Daniel Monzón’s The Kovak Box follows a best-selling science fiction author named David Norton (Timothy Hutton) who is a bit on a control freak. As the story unfolds Norton is invited to an idyllic Mediterranean island for a conference.

Shortly after arriving Norton’s fiancée Jane (Georgia Mackenzie) receives a strange phone call and jumps to her death from their hotel balcony. Soon after that, Norton discovers he has been lured into a trap.

As he begins piecing answers together, people start inexplicably committing suicide all around him. Norton must become the reluctant hero of his own living story, and this time he has no control over how it will end!
