Cult Video Game Essentials: Paperboy

Paperboy first arrived in 1985 from Atari Games and caused a revolution in the computer games market. School playgrounds across the planet were full of tales regarding what level you had got to! The game had a simple premise, you were a paperboy delivering a fictional newspaper called “The Daily Sun” along a suburban street on your bicycle. Each day of the week was a level where the obstacles grew tougher as the week moved on.

The popularity of the game was so huge that it soon left the Atari and was available on all computer game formats and even made it onto the NES and the Sega Master System. Even nowadays Paperboy evokes found memories so much that it even makes cameos in the movies Pixels and Wreck-It Ralph.
