Cult Faction is sad to announce that Rentaghost star Ann Emery has passed away at the age of 86 years old.
Ann was the sister of actor and comedian Dick Emery whose she she made regular appearances on. The role that thrust her onto the Cult Faction radar though was the role of Ethel Meaker on Rentaghost which she played from 1976 to 1984.
She also made appearances in Aladdin and the Forty Thieves, The Bill, Julia Jekyll and Harriet Hyde, S Club 7 in Miami, and Billy Elliot the Musical Live for which she won the Theatregoers’ Choice Award for Best Actress in a Musical.
