Tom Savini

Tom creates Jason!Tom Savini (Thomas Vincent Savini ) was born on  November 3rd 1946 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and gained fame as an American actor, stuntman, director, and award winning special effects make up creator (his hero being Lon Chaney Sr.).

He gained fame working for George A. Romero on films such as Martin, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Creepshow and Monkey Shines. His special effects can be seen in Friday the 13th, Friday 13th Part IV, Maniac, The Burning, The Prowler, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 where he also acted as a stuntman. Other acting and stunt roles include Knightriders, Effects, The Boy who loved Trolls, Creepshow 2, From Dusk Till Dawn, Planet Terror, Machete, Django Unchained, and Machete Kills. He also had a cameo as a teacher in Twisted Sister’s music video Come Out and Play.

As a director, Savini remade Night of the Living Dead (1990); he has also directed episodes and segments on such shows as Tales from the Darkside and The Theatre Bizarre.
