Only the most irresponsible parents are going to let their kids trick or treat this Halloween. So instead of collecting Covid door to door, keep them inside and watch this animated adventure starring Alvin, Simon and Theodore.
Alvin’s just wild about monsters! After devouring every movie and book on the subject, he considers himself an expert. So when a mysterious new neighbour, Mr Talbot, moves nearby and strange howling noises come from his yard, Alvin is sure he is a werewolf! Of course, everyone else thinks Alvin is watching too much late night TV. But when Theodore is nipped by a “dog” and suddenly starts chewing his own socks, even the logical Simon agrees that something weird is going on. Can Alvin and Simon save their brother before the next Full Moon, or will Theodore become a fully-fledged werewolf forever!?!! Add a wacky school production of “Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde”, the delightful antics of the Chipettes and lots of great(!) music to the mix and you’ve got a monstrously entertaining adventure the whole family can really sink their teeth into!

The Chipmunks were nominated for Record of The Year at the first ever Grammys in 1959 alongside Peggy Lee and Frank Sinatra. They won Best Comedy Performance and Best Recording for Children. In 1960 they won Best Album Created for Children.
Alvin is a badass mutherf*cker. The Chipmunks began influencing hip hop in the 90s. Leader of the Wu-Tang Clan RZA is credited for bringing chipmunk sampling to hip hop, speeding up King Floyd’s “Don’t Leave Me Lonely” (1971) in the chorus of “For Heaven’s Sake”. “Chipmunk vocals” have since been used in Jay-Z’s “Hard Knock Life,” Ludacris’ “How Low,” and Akon’s “Lonely” among plenty of other awful records.
It stars Ross Bagdasarian Jr, Kanice Karman, Elizabeth Daily, Dody Goodman, Maurice LaMarche, Rob Paulsen, Frank Welker, and April Winchell.
