It is Cult Faction’s sad duty to report that actor Mark Blum has passed away at the age of 69 years old after suffering complications due to coronavirus.
The actor’s representative confirmed the news to The Independent. Taking to social media, New York theatre company Playwrights Horizons said:
“With love and heavy hearts, Playwrights Horizons pays tribute to Mark Blum, a dear longtime friend and a consummate artist who passed this week. Thank you, Mark, for all you brought to our theatre, and to theatres and audiences across the world. We will miss you.”
As well as being globally known for his theatre and stage work, Blum also appeared on the big and small screen in a wide variety of projects including Desperately Seeking Susan, Crocodile Dundee, Blind Date, Sweet Surrender, Miami Vice, Rosanne, C.P.W., Wings, Ink, Stag, NYPD Blue, The Sopranos, The West Wing, Ed, You, CSI: Miami, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order, Fringe, The Good Wife, Step Up 3D, The Black List, and Elementary.
