Space Camp set to be remade by Disney

Disney is set to remake the 1986 cult movie Space Camp. The original movie starred Kate Capshaw, Lea Thompson, Kelly Preston, Joaquin (then known as Leaf) Phoenix, Larry B. Scott, Tate Donovan, and Tom Skerritt.

Saturday Night Live writers Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell have been hired to pen the script and the film will launch on Disney+, Disney’s streaming service.
