Cult TV Essentials: Kenny Starfighter

Debuting in 1997, Kenny Starfighter was a Swedish six-episode mini-series that opens in a manner similar to The Demon Headmaster with students Markus (Johan Stattin), Sofia (Josefin Edvardsson), Tyrone (Gabriel Hermelin) and Burken (Linus Samuelsson) realising something is wrong with their school with teachers acting strange. Luckily for them Kenny Starfighter (Johan Rheborg) – Galactic Hero is sent to Earth to investigate!

The students and Kenny team up to solve the mystery of the school and discover the person behind the strange behaviour at the school is none other than Dr. Deo – the man out to destroy Kenny’s home planet Mylta as a revenge for having been turned down by the Princess of planet Mylta!

Through their combined efforts, the students and Kenny manage to defeat Dr. Deo and save the school and Mylta at the same time!

A follow up film, Kenny Begins was made in 2009.
