Brainsmasher… A Love Story (1993)

Written and directed by Albert Pyun, Brainsmasher… A Love Story follows the adventures of Ed “Brainsmasher” Malloy (played by Andrew Dice Clay). Malloy is a bad ass bouncer from Portland, Oregon who runs into glamorous supermodel Samantha Crain (Teri Hatcher)- a woman who has everything—except for true love.

Samantha runs across “Brainsmasher” after she is asked by her sister Cammy (Deborah Van Valkenburgh), a styled botanist in search of a very rare lotus flower, to smuggle a package from Europe to Portland Oregon.

It turns out a group of Chinese monks with high-flying martial arts powers are also in search of the lotus as well. They believe that whomever eats its petals will gain infinite powers.

Malloy sees the monks and decides to help Samantha. While on the chase from the monks (and occasionally, Malloy’s mother – Dorothy Dells), the two fall in love…
