It is Cult Faction’s sad duty to report that horror legend George A. Romero has passed away following a short battle with lung cancer.

Romero’s longtime producing partner Peter Grunwald broke the sad news and said that Romero died while listening to the score of one his favorite films, 1952’s “The Quiet Man,” with his wife, Suzanne Desrocher Romero, and daughter, Tina Romero, at his side.
