NBC cancels Timeless!

We liked Timeless,  so we feared it may be doomed from the beginning! Like all good sci-fi shows it was today confirmed that it would end after one season! Why NBC? Why?

There is no word whether producer Sony TV will shop the series elsewhere, though co-creator Eric Kripke indicated that is in the works. He didn’t sound too optimistic:
