Peter Sumner passes away aged 74
It is Cult Faction’s sad duty to report that Australian actor, director and writer Peter Sumner has passed away at the age of 74 years old following a long illness.
Sumner appeared on the Cult Faction radar after he portrayed Death Star security officer Lt. Pol Treidum in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.
As well as Star Wars, Sumner appeared in My Brother Jack, Color Me Dead, The Link Men, Ned Kelly, Delta, Dynasty, Boney, Spyforce, The Evil Touch, The Lost Islands, Glenview High, Cop Shop, The Dismissal, All The Way, The Flying Doctors, Neighbours, Cluedo, Heartbreak High, Spellbinder, Outriders, and The Quarantine Hauntings.
He is survived by his wife Lynda and their three children Luke, Kate and Joanna.
