Cult Movie Essentials: Delirium (1972)

Delirium aka Delirio caldo focuses on a respected doctor who becomes the prime suspect in a series of gruesome murders.

Director Renato Polselli introduces some horrific gruesome scenes that are not for everyone, but there is an underlying black humour – a somewhat sick black humour, but a humour never the less that pulls the film along.

The American version was cut to pieces but the French version still has the full film intact.
