Cult Movie Essentials: Sex and Fury (1973)

In 1886 a child, Ocho, sees her father die before her, before he died, he shows her three cards depicting a deer, a wild boar and a butterfly.

In 1905 the girl, who is now a woman, is a thief and expert gambler in Meiji Era Tokyo. After sheltering a fleeing anarchist, Ocho runs into the three gangsters responsible for her father’s murder, and runs afoul of various yakuza who want her dead. A European spy, played by Christina Lindberg, arrives on the scene and complicates matters.

Ocho is thus involved in a complicated political history between Japan and England, and finally manages to get his revenge, but remained seriously injured and leaving behind a long trail of blood.
