It is official. Pearle Mackie will soon be climbing aboard the tardis, as Bill, to help out Peter Capaldi’s Doctor Who. Mackie comes from Brixton, South London and trained as an actor at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, graduating in 2010.
Since drama school she has worked across Theatre, Film, Television and Radio appearing at the RSC, The Park Theatre, The Finborough, for the BBC and on London’s West End. Pearl also performs as a singer.
Her previous work includes the guest role of Anne-Marie Frasier in Doctors and a brief part in Svengali. In the theatre though she has performed with many top stars. Mackie is currently performing in the National Theatre’s West End production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time until June 2016.
