Gordon Liu Chia-hui plays Chang Kie, an escaped convict who is trying to prove his innocence by apprehending the real guilty party.
Desperate to avoid the authorities, he joins a party of corpse herders bringing a party of hopping corpses – Chinese vampires – back for a burial.
