Astronaut Ink brings readers New Zodiax #1 on February 4, 2015! In this all-new series, the power of the cosmos has been accruing for well over a millenia, and twelve individuals—each corresponding to a sign in the Zodiac—possess the ability to tap into that considerable power.
Issue one will introduce readers to New Aquarius (aka Liberaider), a superpowered computer-hacker whose metallic skin allows him to take control of cyberspace with ease.
Creator Joe St. Pierre gave us the inside scoop on New Zodiax and how Liberaider plans to utilize his astrological abilities:
“It’s a comic series about 12 people who can tap the cosmic energies of the astrological signs. I’m going to be reinventing the ancient symbols in this series; the first issue is about the new Aquarius, who, since ancient times, has been known as the water-bearer or the life-bringer. Today, when what you know could be a matter of life and death, information is power. With that in mind, I re-envisioned the Aquarius sign into the Liberaider. The Liberaider is the Robin Hood of Cyberspace—a hacker who steals from the information-rich and gives to the information-poor. He acquires a metallic second skin that allows him to access cyberspace psychically. I will introduce a new member of the Zodiax with each of the first four issues, and I’m planning to have them all interact in a shared universe.”
