Blade Runner to return to U.K. cinemas

The British Film Institute is rereleasing Ridley Scott’s final cut of Blade Runner in U.K. cinemas.

The 1982 cult sci-fi classic, which Scott gave his own definitive twist to in 2007 (not counted is the 1992 director’s cut release that Scott had nothing to do with), will hit theatres on Dec. 14 as part of the BFI’s on-going “Sci-Fi: Days of Fear and Wonder” series before getting a general release on Apr. 3, 2015.

In May, it was revealed that Scott was attached to the long-rumoured sequel from a script written by Michael Green and original co-writer Hampton Fancher.
