Hell Comes To Frog Town (1987)

Directed by Jackson and R. J. Kizer, Hell Comes to Frogtown was created by Donald G. Jackson. Lost most films of the genre in the late 80’s, it is set in an post-apocalyptic wasteland. Whilst this starts to sound like Escape From New York and Mad Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome the twist here is that few fertile men and women exist in the world due to atomic fallout and, as a result, the government now places a high priority on those that can still breed. As a result of this a group of mutant amphibians (who have been exiled to the desert) capture a group of fertile women and are using them as sex slaves.

Then from the post-apocalyptic mists comes Sam Hell (Roddy Piper) a lone journeyman who wanders the countryside. Hell is captured by an organization of warrior-nurses, the closest thing to a government in his region of the world, who reveal that they located him by tracking the trail of pregnant women left in his wake!

They initially wanted to use Hell as breeding stock with their collection of fertile women, but as they have been captured by the mutants they need Hell to get them back by rescuing hem from “Frogtown” – the nickname given to the mutant city.

To make sure Hell follows his orders, he is forced to wear an electronic protective codpiece that will explode if he disobeys or tries to abort his mission. Having already taken numerous samples of reproductive material from him, he is now deemed far more expendable than the women themselves. To aid him in his mission he is paired with one of the nurses, Spangle (Sandahl Bergman), and an aggressive guardswoman named Centinella (Cec Verrell).

During their journey to Frogtown, Hell tries numerous times to escape but Spangle shocks his genitals with the device he is wearing. As their journey continues, the pair fall in love.

Upon reaching Frogtown everyone is captured. While the frog “second-in-command” tortures Hell and attempts to remove the codpiece for its technology, a slightly drugged Spangle is forced to work as a slave and dance for the frog commander.

Spangle is more successful than she had wished and finds herself at the mercy of the aroused commander. However, with the codpiece now removed Hell rescues her along with the group of fertile women (Ellen Crocker, Kim Hewson, Ilana Ishaki, Janie Thorson and Annie McKinon) held captive.
