Big Finish announce Barbara Wright casting

As originally announced at September’s Big Finish Day 5, the role of First Doctor companion Barbara Wright is being filled by an appropriate casting…

Actress Jemma Powell has been in studio recently to play Barbara Wright in some future stories in the Big Finish range of Doctor Who: The Early Adventures.

As fans of Doctor Who will know, Jemma played Jacqueline Hill, who played Barbara, in 2013’s Mark Gatiss drama An Adventure in Space and Time which helped start the 50th anniversary celebrations with such a bang!

Photographed here with Maureen O’Brien and William Russell (Vicki and Ian from William Hartnell’s first years as the Doctor in the early to mid-Sixties), Jemma’s stories will be announced closer to release.
