It is Cult Faction’s sad duty to report that Art LaFleur passed away on November 17th 2021 at the age of 78 years old. The sad news was broken by his wife Shelley on Facebook, writing:
“This guy… After a 10 year battle with A-typical Parkinson’s, Art LaFleur, the love of my life passed away. He was a generous and selfless man which carried over to his acting but more importantly it was who he was for his family and friends. Every location or set we visited him on, the cast and crew would introduce themselves and tell Molly, Joe, and me how Art spoke of us with such pride and love. I was so very lucky to have had a 43 year relationship with a man who cherished me and who I adored. Art was larger than life and meant the world to us.”
Through his career LaFleur appeared in Charlie’s Angels, Lou Grant, Soap, Benson, Hill St. Blues, The Incredible Hulk, The A-Team, Cobra, The Blob, The Sandlot Kids, Bring Me the Head of Lance Henriksen, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective Jr., Speed Racer, A Cinderella Story, Beethoven’s 4th, Angel, Boy Meets World, Best of the Best 4: Without Warning, The Santa Clause 2, The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, Maverick, Renegade, Trancers II, Prisoner: Cell Block H, Boys in Blue, WarGames and a whole lot more!
When asked about acting he once commented:
“It’s all about the part. That’s the primary thing to me — the part. If the script is good, then it’s something I’ll do.”
