Hard to believe that it has been over a year since the History Channel opted not to renew one of their highest performing series, Project Blue Book. That is why we were understandably excited when we found out that the creators of that stellar show, David O’Leary and Sean Jablonski will be behind a new UFO drama for TNT.
Deadline has reported that the creative pair are developing an untitled drama that will focus on the Roswell incident for the network. The story supposedly encompasses multiple timelines and will explore the alleged government cover-up surrounding the crashed alien craft as well as the aftermath of the 1947 event that shook the world.
However, as fans of Project Blue Book will remember, this isn’t O’Leary or Jablonski’s first endeavor into what happened in New Mexico over seven decades ago. The duo opened Season 2 with a two-part episode surrounding the extraterrestrial occurrence.
Trevor Engelson of Underground will be joining the talented team as an executive producer. Apparently, the project will rely heavily on facts and research just like Blue Book.
Since this venture has been announced, no plot or casting details have been revealed. To prepare for the upcoming Roswell drama, you can rewatch O’Leary and Jablonski’s Project Blue Book on Amazon Prime, Peacock, Hulu, Fubo TV and Sling TV.
