It is Cult Faction’s sad duty to report that Markie Post has passed away at the age of 70 years old after a three-year battle with cancer. The sad news was broken by her long-term manager Ellen Lubin Sanitsky.
Her family said in a statement: “Our pride is in who she was in addition to acting; a person who made elaborate cakes for friends, sewed curtains for first apartments and showed us how to be kind, loving and forgiving in an often harsh world.”
Throughout her long career Post had key roles in many shows and films including CHiPS, The Incredible Hulk, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Hart to Hart, B.J. and The Bear, The Greatest American Hero, Simon & Simon, Matt Houston, Cheers, Fantasy Island, The A-Team, The Fall Guy, Night Court, VR.5, There’s Something About Mary, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, Scrubs, Ghost Whisperer, Transformers Prime, Chicago P.D. and Santa Clarita Diet.
She is survived by her writer husband Michael A. Ross and their daughters, Kate Armstrong Ross and Daisy Schoenborn.
