Mistress Morphine’s online Live Macabre Art Masterclass aims to save Halloween!

With so many events put on hold due to the COVID-19 lockdown, it has been difficult to find an event to attend this Halloween. Thankfully, Mistress Morphine is bringing the entertainment to you with a very special live Adrenaline Shots Live Macabre Art Masterclass, so you can enjoy all the horror from the safety of your own home in a very special zoom event.

Come see as a roster of amazing comic book artists (termed “Morphine’s Maestros”) join the Mistress to host individual art classes and help attendees with tips and guidance regarding their art throughout the event. These devilish fiends include the likes of Joanne Kwan, Ricky Fang aka Hooks n Fangs, Gabby Vee, and Eduardo Barbosa.

But the show is more than just an art class! There will be a host of surprises throughout the event, with the award-winning film effects studio DDFX—best known for creating the practical creature effects on the film Book of Monsters—working closely behind the scenes to create new and exclusive creatures for the show.

David Rowe, who created all of the artwork on the legendary British TV show Knightmare, has joined to create custom zoom backgrounds to fully realise the world of Morphine Manor.

Fantasy illustrator Ian Miller will also be contributing to the effects with a specially created zoom background. In film, Ian has provided designs for ShrekCool World and Wizards, as well as illustrations for A Tolkien Bestiary and Warhammer and Magic the Gathering in print.

Fans of non-stop animation will be pleased to know that there will be new footage from Angus Lamont, who is a stop-motion effects ambassador for the Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation.  Angus is creating stop motion effects in the retro Harryhausen style for the event and is excited to premiere what has been created.

Composer and record producer Scott Erickson has also created a rocking horror-comedy the score. In addition to creating the parade songs for some of Walt Disney’s biggest theme parks, Scott has also worked with some of the most influential names in music, including Barbara Streisand, Bette Midler, Michael Crawford and Barry Mannilow.
