Scout Comics announced that they have published 1,000 variant tribute versions of Assassin and Son, the comic book written by former WWE wrestlers, the late Shad Gaspard (member of Cryme Tyme) and Marc Copani (Muhammad Hassan)!
Assassin and Son is a gritty urban-western set in present-day New York. Donovan Braddock is a one-man killing unit who works with a team of covert assassins known as “The Horsemen,” When Braddock attempts to live a normal life and leave his old violent life behind he discovers that violence still follows him as his wife is cold-heartedly murdered in front of both him and his young son.
Now with nothing to live for, this tragic event sends father and son on an epic journey of revenge and consequence that becomes their “Path of Vengeance.”
Copani, via his Facebook Page, commented, “In my last conversation with Shad Gaspard, we celebrated that the comic book we wrote together was set to be released in April 2020. Covid delayed the release, and then in May, we tragically lost Shad when he gave his life to save his son from drowning. On Wednesday, July 8th, Scout Comics Official HQ is releasing this limited edition copy of Assassin and Son book ONE on its website to honor my friend. I’m so thankful to Scout and proud to be a part of this team, keeping his legacy alive. There are only 1,000 copies of each variant edition and all proceeds go to Shad’s family.”
