David Collings passes away aged 79

It is Cult Faction’s sad duty to announce that David Collings has passed away at the age of 79 years old. The sad news was broken by his wife Karen Archer on twitter:

Collings was known for his role of Daniel Clark in the UFO episode The Psychobombs as well as playing the time agent Silver in Sapphire and Steel. He was also the English voice of Monkey. he also appeared in Blake’s 7, Danger Man, The Prowler, Dark Towers, Scrooge, Z-Cars, Out of the Unknown, Sinister Street, The Bill, Boon, The Invisible Woman, The Professionals,  Press Gang, and Doctor Who. He even played the Doctor in a 2003 audio drama from Big Finish – with UFO star Ed Bishop as the villain. He also portrayed Legolas in the classic BBC Radio 4 adaptation of The Lord of the Rings.
