Review: The Good Place Season 4 Ep. 2: A Girl From Arizona (Part 2)

Following straight on from last week’s episode, Eleanor (Kristen Bell), Michael (Ted Danson), Janet (D’Arcy Carden) and Tahani (Jameela Jamil) have their hands full when the new residents begin to show their true colours, especially Brent (Benjamin Koldyke) who they are trying to convince doesn’t belong in the good place. Also Simone (Kirby Howell-Baptiste) still believes that everything is a figment of her imagination!

Eleanor’s struggles lead to doubts from her team that she is the best leader for them and it takes a pep talk from Michael to restore her confidence/ Elsewhere Jason (Manny Jacinto) receives some unsettling news from Janet who wants to put their relationship on a break.

Verdict: 6.5/10. As I mentioned last week, this is a fine start to the final season which is setting up all the chess pieces that will lead to the show’s end game. This episode did little to move forward to that end game, we know with The Good Place, that even the smallest details now may pay off in a bigger way later.
