Review: Under the Flowers – Circle of Hell Ep. 1- Ring around the Rosie

Under the Flowers – Circle of Hell Ep: 1- Ring around the Rosie

The dream like visual of this 5 minute short almost have a Disney quality about them and the story reminds me of the type of fantasy adventure Disney used to thrive off; although I feel this might take a darker direction during the seasons run.

Following on from the first season the story already has a developed feel to it, this however does not mean in not assessable to new comers like me.

A lot of time and care has also gone into the post production, giving the editing and visual effects a polished feel.

The acting is more than decent and I’ve defiantly seen worse in the films companies like Asylum and SyFy Channel spew out. Lauren Lavera & Amanda Key Livezey performances both deserve a wider audience, but it’s Richard T. Wilsons voiceover for ‘Darkness’ that really stands out.

A great start to a season with a story engaging enough to leave me wanting more.
