Glenn B Fleming presents Hatch: The Next Day. Now who is Hatch? Well, Hatch is unique. It’s as simple as that; there are no language barriers with this strip; translated words can change the mood, meaning or substance of any writing. Only ‘sound effects’ are used; there is no dialogue.
All Hatch’s adventures can be enjoyed by all peoples in the universe, whatever language(s) they may understand – he’s simply a visual experience. And now, Hatch is finally here, in all his lonely ‘glory’; lost, bewildered and, yeah, amazed.
Hatch, however, is not just an ordinary cartoon strip. No, no. Far from it. Hatch is, in fact, a builder, an experimenter and (occasionally) a time traveller and although he is a ‘man’ lost in time and space, his world is not without incident, not without accident and certainly not without meaning. Hatch endures in us all; struggling to come to terms with himself, his world and his universe. A universe he marvels at, embraces and is ultimately frustrated with.
