To some he is Luther, to others Heimdall, to a few he is the Pizza Delivery Man in Space Precinct but now Idris Elba is a kick boxer – having won his first professional kickboxing fight after months of training around the world for a new documentary.
The 44-year-old actor has been filming and travelling in the UK, Cuba and other places as he attempts to become a professional kickboxer for Idris Elba: Fighter.
On Friday night, he was in York Hall, Bethnall Green in London, taking on a kickboxer in a no holds barred fight for the last part of the show.
Speaking ahead of the documentary filming, Idris said it was a dream of his to be a professional fighter:
‘Entering the ring to further test myself as a human being is a challenge I have been looking to take on for quite some time.’
Apparently Madonna was there too.
