Stephen King’s It remake is set to shoot in summer 2015 under director Cary Fukunaga (True Detective). Producer Dan Lin commented to Vulture that “the idea is to start official prep in March for a summer shoot…Cary likes to develop things for a while, and we’ve been with this for about three or four years, so we’re super excited that he stayed with it. You guys are gonna be really excited.”
The 1986 novel was famously adapted into a two-part television film in 1990 with Tim Curry as Pennywise the Clown. It centres around a group of children who must face off against a force that takes on its victims’ greatest fears, personified by Pennywise. Years later, they are forced to confront the evil again.
