The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Nicolas Cage has been cast as Dracula in Universal’s Renfield. The film will star Nicholas Hoult will star as Renfield – who in Bram Stoker’s Dracula, was an inmate at John Seward’s lunatic asylum. Renfield was usually found raving in his cell or eating insects and other small animals in order to absorb their life force and become immortal. Later it is revealed that he is in service to Count Dracula himself.
No release date has been announced.
