Brave New World Ep. 3: Everybody Happy Now!

Following on from the shocking events of Episode 2, we return immediately to The Savage Lands where John (Alden Ehrenreich) takes a shot and hurt Bernard (Harry Lloyd) and Lenina (Jessica Brown Findlay) to his house. Upon their arrival, John’s mother Linda (Demi Moore), a former New London resident, helps Bernard with his wound. Linda advises John that they need to leave with Bernard and Lenina and head back to New London.

Meanwhile the revolution freedom fighters are still on the hunt for Bernard and Lenina and almost kill John following a chance to teh spaceport. Instead Linda spots a laser dot appear on John’s back, knowing exactly what it is she throws herself in the way taking the shot and saving John’s life. Badly injured, Linda joins teh other three on the rocket plane back to New London where even more mysteries unfold.

Verdict: 8/10. A solid arch building episode taht nealry every charcter benefits from in some form. Layers of charcater and plot are peeled back with some charcter motivations creeping to the front. This helps push the story forwards it a believable and consumable way – not leave it in what I can a highly elabaorate status quo that keeps things the same whilst padding out mystery and plot.
